Camp Coconut is a small-scale sustainable farm in southern Sri Lanka, founded by Mithra and Maren in 2020. Mithra holds a Bachelors’ in Sustainable Food and Farming from UMass, USA, and Maren a Masters in Bioeconomy.
The farm is a vibrant space where people, animals, and nature live in harmony. The farm is home to chickens, goats, cows, and a variety of fruit trees and vegetables.
Driven by a vision of sustainability and community, Camp Coconut runs on solar power and biogas, reuses food waste in multiple ways, and up-cycles wood in its workshop. Beyond farming, it’s a place of learning and cultural exchange—welcoming volunteers and visitors from around the world to share knowledge, creativity, and everyday life on the farm.
